Some guys have no problem at all in striking up a conversation with a girl. What they need next is to know how to get that number.

Maybe you’ve even tried in the past but been blown away or even given a fake number? How can you secure the digits and make sure that they are good?

The Basics

First of all, just make sure that you really know what you’re doing before even getting the number. Have you noticed some indicators of interest from her? Are you sure that she likes you? Some guys are virtually blind and although they can talk to a woman, she may not be interested in him but he doesn’t realise it.

You must pass this first hurdle before going for the number. It won’t hurt to just ask for the number anyway and get some practice but in the long term you want something good to come from the number!

Keep It Short

Although you can get a number when you’ve had a long and good conversation and it’s starting to falter or peter out, it is far better to keep the conversation short and leave her wanting more and getting the number then.

Make up some excuse like you have friends to catch up with or an appointment to get to. This shows that you are not “needy” and is therefore attractive to women.

So how do you ask for the number? There are many ways but one of the best is to simply say to her “well it’s been nice talking to you, I have to go but we should go for a coffee sometime, how can I reach you?”

All the different gurus will recommend slightly different approaches. Ultimately, you don’t want to look needy so don’t ask her for dinner or for a date. Ask her for something non-threatening like a coffee.

There are different opinions on the final part. Some say to just ask “give me your number” or “what’s your number”. Others say to make it a bit more cryptic as I have done above. I think that one of the gurus called Ross Jeffries advises something along the lines of “what can we do to make this happen again” but then again he uses a lot of covert hypnotic NLP stuff too!

Calling Her Back

Never call her back the day after. A friend of mine does pretty well at the first stages with ladies but then calls them back the next day! Remember, never look needy! A cool guy has many women around him and never has time to call back the next day. Wait 3 days.
